Slower game play and a generous amount of P capsules make this version of Arkanoid a little less of a challenge than the original. However, the graphics are superb for an Apple II game, even without the double high resolution palette. Sound is typically minimal, but control is excellent. The Apple II's analog joystick is better suited to games like this, but Arkanoid even allows play with a mouse, something very few Apple II games offer. So, while the frenetic pace of the arcade game isn't quite captured here, Arkanoid for the Apple II is still more than acceptable.
