The Commodore 64 port of Arkanoid is excellent, if not quite perfect. The ball takes a few strange angles compared to the arcade game, and sometimes changes speed unpredictably in mid-air. Beyond that, there is nothing to complain about here, and plenty to compliment. Graphics and sound are phenominal, and game play is tight and fast-paced. A huge plus is the game's support for a wide variety of controllers, including paddles and the Commodore mouse, which allow for even more accurate control of the Vaus. Fans of Arkanoid will not be disappointed here.
