Backgammon on the Atari 2600 allows you to play normally, or you can position the chips anywhere on the board. This lets you practice a particular strategy or even continue a previous game.

Players can also enter dice numbers manually, in case anyone insists on using real dice while playing a game of virtual backgammon.
