In the different game variations of Big Bird's Egg Catch, one or two players can work with anywhere from two to five hens, with easy straight chutes or challenging twisty chutes. Players try to collect as many eggs as possible in three egg-laying rounds, or keep playing until they have missed five eggs.

Some game variations rearrange the chutes after every egg laid. Other variations have chutes that can turn invisible. Players can even try their luck with invisible eggs!
