Commodore 64 - Pitcher vs. Batter
Nowadays it's hard to imagine a baseball game that doesn't let you get up close
and personal, but the first video baseball games only offered a single
viewpoint, overlooking the entire field with little bitty players.
Hardball helped fix that, introducing different camera angles that
automatically switch with the action. A separate image showing who is on base
helps players keep tabs on the overall game while still enjoying the detailed
showdowns between pitcher and batter.
