The NES was built for games like Ikari Warriors with detailed, scrolling playfields behind lots of quick two-player action. This port follows through on that potential, and is easily the best home version of the game for any 8-bit computer or game console. Graphics tend to flicker when the fighting gets heavy, another NES trademark, but it doesn't distract from the game. The music and effects don't add any wow factor, but they effectively recall the sound of the arcade game. In short, this is an excellent adaption.
