Atari 2600 Snoopy and the Red Baron Review

A common problem among video games aimed at children is, the more fun the game is at first, the less fun it is later on. Difficulty tends to max out early, and amusement quickly turns to boredom. Snoopy and the Red Baron is a good example. The graphics and game play are good enough to impress even older, more experienced players, but once players master how to lure the Red Baron out of the clouds and catch the treats he drops, the rest of the game becomes more of the same. Arguably it isn't fair to call a game "too easy" when it is supposed to be for younger players, but video game developers should remember: Even younger players eventually turn into older players, and the best games give those older players a reason to come back.
