Centipede Imitations

Sssnake - This Atari 2600 game puts the player in the middle of the screen, while centipede-like snakes and other critters attack from all sides. This one didn't get a lot of positive reviews.

Video Vermin - With swarms of fleas, ants and beetles taking the place of centipedes, this Commodore VIC-20 game is in some ways like a cross between Centipede and Millipede.

Apeiron - This Macintosh title was released by Ambrosia Software, the makers of Maelstrom, one of the best-known shareware Asteroids clones. Like Maelstrom, Apeiron is more than just a clone, souped up with new graphics and new twists on the familiar game play.
