Xevious Geneology
1982 - Xevious - A single fighter jet flies with a mission to destroy all enemy
forces, both in the ground and on the air.
1984 - Super Xevious - Xevious is back with an uptick in difficulty and a few new
enemies to deal with.
1984 - Grobda - This is something of a spin-off, where the player controls a
Grobda tank originally featured as an enemy in Xevious.
1991 - Solvalou - The game is the same, but this time the player gets a pilot's eye,
3D-rendered view of the action.
1995 - Xevious 3D/G - This game keeps the 3D rendering, but the point of view shifts
between the traditional overhead and a new over-the-shoulder viewpoint. This
entry also offers 2-player simultaneous play.
1995 - Xevious Arrangement - In celebration of their pioneering video game titles, Namco went
back and "remixed" six of their more popular games, spicing them up with new
graphics, new sound effects and music, and new elements of
gameplay.
