No jungle explorer in his right mind is going to let a gang of cannibals get away with his girl! Nor will he let a perilous journey of swinging vines, alligator-infested waters and rocksliding boulders stop him from getting her back! So pack your trusty knife, put on your pith hat and prepare for the rescue!
Each Jungle Hunt quest takes place across four differet scene. The first is set in the vines of the jungle, where you must jump from one swinging vine to the next. Each vine swings at its own speed, so time your jumps carefully. If you miss, you will take a deadly fall!
After grabbing the last vine, you will dive into a wide river teaming with alligators. You can swim around them, or you can take them out with your knife. Keep an eye on your oxygen meter when you're under water. If it runs out, you will drown! Also be careful of the alligators' mouths when attacking them. If you touch an alligator with his mouth all the way open, even with your knife drawn, you're lunch!
Next it's back on land, running up a hillside toward the cannibal camp. Rolling, bouncing boulders come at you as you run. Smaller boulders are easier to jump over. Larger boulders also bounce higher, making it possible to duck or run under them, though you can try jumping them as well. Any contact with these boulders is instant death, so plan your running and jumping very carefully.
Finally you're at the camp. Two cannibal guards stand between you and a boiling pot, with your girl dangling from a rope right above. Jump both guards and grab hold of your girl to make the rescue!
If you succeed in getting the girl, it's back to the vines again, as yet another jungle explorer rescuing another fair maiden. New surprises await in the later levels of the game, so keep a watchful eye!
